Our Village Hall is the heart of the community offering a wide range range of activities from toddlers group to billiards. It acts as our polling station and the venue for village celebrations. It was the site for many of our very successful Jubilee celebrations.
Unfortunately, despite several renovations, it is old - being a converted 1st World War army hut.
We have applied to the Lottery Commission for a grant of £300,000 towards its rebuilding on a new site next to the school where we hope to share out door recreational facilities with the school.
Negotiations with the Lottery are at a crucial stage after nearly three years of planning. If all goes well we hope to start work on the site in spring 2003.
